At Open Christian Press, we operate under the conviction that all truth is God’s truth. Our work is grounded in the belief that scholarship, when rightly pursued, can serve as an act of worship and a means of edification for both the Church and the world. We welcome diverse academic contributions, but we do so with a firm foundation in faith and a clear ethical responsibility to the academic and spiritual communities we serve.
Open Christian Press is a publishing arm of Open Christian University and is rooted in the historic, biblical Christian faith. While not all authors or reviewers are expected to share this faith, our editorial vision is shaped by the following affirmations:
As a scholarly publisher, Open Christian Press upholds internationally recognized standards of academic rigor, peer review, and editorial impartiality. We follow the ethical principles outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and expect every submission to reflect:
Original, well-researched, and responsibly cited work
Honest reporting of data, sources, and arguments
Transparency in authorship, funding, and methodology
Respect for intellectual property and proper attribution
A willingness to revise, correct, or retract errors when needed
We affirm that intellectual excellence and spiritual conviction are not in conflict, and that faith-informed scholarship must hold itself to the highest standards of evidence, clarity, and discernment.
Open Christian Press exists to provide a home for scholars who long to pursue truth without compromise, explore difficult questions without fear, and contribute to the building of knowledge that honors both the mind and the spirit.
We do not demand ideological conformity, but we do expect intellectual integrity, ethical consistency, and a posture of humility before the complexity of truth.
Authors, reviewers, and editors are all invited to participate in this community of rigorous, faith-informed scholarship—united not by uniformity of opinion, but by a shared commitment to truth, conscience, and the pursuit of wisdom in a world that desperately needs it.
