Preprint & Postprint Policy
Preprint & Postprint Policy
At Open Christian Press, we affirm the value of open knowledge and author-led dissemination. We support the responsible sharing of research at different stages of its development and recognize the importance of preprints in increasing visibility, fostering early feedback, and supporting transparent scholarship.
Authors are permitted to post their manuscripts on recognized preprint servers (such as SSRN, ResearchGate, OSF, or institutional repositories) prior to submission, provided that the version posted is clearly marked as a preprint and is not under review at the time of posting.
Once a manuscript is submitted to any journal hosted by Open Christian Press, we ask that no additional versions be uploaded to public platforms during the peer-review process, to preserve the integrity of blind review and prevent potential confusion.
After acceptance and publication, authors are required to update their preprint record by linking to the final published version on the Open Christian Press website. This ensures proper attribution, citation, and clarity between the preprint and the peer-reviewed version of record.
Authors may also share their accepted manuscripts (the post-peer-review, pre-typeset version) on public platforms, provided that the publication is properly credited and the shared version includes a clear note such as:
“This is the accepted version of the article published in [Journal Name], available at [final DOI or URL].”
We encourage authors to check whether their institutional repository or funding agency requires archiving, and we are happy to accommodate such policies.
If you have questions about where and how to share your manuscript, please don’t hesitate to reach out to editorial@openchristian.education. We remain committed to both open access and responsible publishing.
