Open Christian Press is dedicated to the global visibility, accessibility, and scholarly recognition of the work we publish. We believe that every article—when grounded in truth and academic integrity—deserves to be discoverable by scholars, students, and practitioners across disciplines and regions.

To support this goal, we continually develop partnerships that increase visibility while meeting the quality benchmarks required by leading indexes.

Crossref membership and DOI registration

The Center for Faith and Work (member of Crossref; prefix 10.65655) now assigns a Crossref Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to each article immediately upon publication on our Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. These DOIs are minted under the format 10.65655/xxxx and resolve to the authoritative article landing pages on https://journals.openchristian.education . Legacy articles published between 2020 and early 2025 were registered on Zenodo under the shared prefix 10.5281; those identifiers remain active and will continue to resolve to their Zenodo records while also linking back to the updated OJS metadata.

Current discoverability channels

Articles carrying a Crossref or Zenodo DOI are routinely harvested by major scholarly discovery services, including Google Scholar, OpenAIRE, ORCID, and other metadata aggregators compatible with Crossref. Authors may further enhance dissemination by sharing accepted versions through SSRN, ResearchGate or Academia.edu and other research networking platforms in line with our open‑access policy.

Archiving and preservation

In addition to Crossref’s metadata preservation, we maintain secure local backups and are engaging with LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, and selected institutional repositories to ensure long‑term accessibility. We also continue to benefit from Zenodo’s integration with OpenAIRE for our historical catalogue.
